When formatting translated texts we get the assistance of specialists who are qualified in the field and who work with publishers and printers of newspapers and magazines. We collaborate with 15 professional DTP specialists.

We usually format the translations on the model of the original layout; however, we also format texts for which there is no model. In the latter case we take account of the purpose of the text.

We provide proofreading service for formatted texts, protecting against ‘lost’ text.

We do not neglect proofreading after formatting texts. In the formatting process mistakes can occur in breaking words across lines (hyphenation), certain symbols or diacritics can become distorted and fragments of text can even become ‘lost’. To guard against this, when we provide DTP services we always provide proofreading of the formatted texts as well.

We provide translation and DTP services when translating various types of user instructions, advertising leaflets and catalogues. These formats are almost always intended for publication; therefore the use of layout services is very appropriate in this instance. By entrusting us with these tasks you will save time, since we provide translation and DTP services all in one.

DTP prices and deadlines depend on the volume and complexity of the text.

If you submit DTP source files so that we can copy the translated text into the original layout, we can format about 20 pages a day. If we need to create a new layout with complex graphic elements, it can take a whole day to format one page.

DTP prices are calculated:

• per page,
• depending on the complexity of the layout – such as what graphic elements are being used,
• depending on the format of the files provided. If you submit the source text in the Adobe InDesign, Adobe FrameMaker or other DTP format, we charge the minimum fee for formatting of the translated text.
